Bermondsey once had many streams that ran into the Thames. This made the area perfect for the tanning industry during the 18th and 19th centuries.
The Rill, a water feature on the More London development in Tooley Street, was a nod to this rich industrial past.
It was filled in in 2018 after pedestrians looking at their phones instead of where they were going tripped or sprained their ankles.
